Whew! Been a while since the last update. I have no one to blame but myself.
Legacy is still in the works! I have the next chapter and nearly half of the one after that written up. I'm going to keep writing them until I can find someone willing to beta them for me, as I can't seem to get ahold of my previous beta(s). :( If anyone is willing to volunteer their services, I'd greatly appreciate it! Within the next two or three chapters the plot is really going to kick off and I think everyone is going to be really surprised to see what's going to happen next. I know I can't wait to get it out of my head and onto the internet! Heehee.
I've been really getting into Bleach lately. I've seen all of the most recent subbed episodes and am anxiously awaiting for episode 235. I've read the latest translated manga chapters as well. It's getting really good and is incredibly suspenseful. A little plot bunny is bouncing around in my head for a Bleach story. I dare not reveal it's secret here! It's an idea I have yet to find in any of the stories I've read so I'm hoping it's somewhat original. On this one I definitely need help though. In both planning and hatching the finer details of the plot as well as helping me keep on track of Bleach knowledge so I don't mess anything up.
I've found a truly wonderful author in the Bleach fandom. Her/his name is Daricio and their fanfiction.net account can be found here. I highly recommend reading The Day Before Tomorrow and Feeling Hollow. The author has nice, great big loooong chapters and has a way of really pulling you in until you've read everything. It's attention grabbing and unique and they do a great job of writing it out so very well. Those two stories have been the most fun I've had reading a piece of fanfiction for a long, long time. Characterization is absolutely-freaking-perfect given the circumstances they're in.
The first story, Day Before Tomorrow, deals with Urahara leading Ichigo, Rukia, Chad and Inoue to a time machine. This takes place after the Winter War and their group is targeted by Aizen -and- Soul Society as well as any Vizards left over. Urahara makes Ichigo use the time machine and he ends up going back to the past a day or so before he rescued Rukia from execution to try and fix everything. I don't want to spoil anything else, but I will say that this is a 'Time Travel gone wrong' fic. And Daricio does a superb, heart-stopping job of showing us just how and why it goes wrong. It's truly a blast, like watching a movie you expected to go wrong turn into something absolutely amazing. I don't want to give any spoilers away, just rest assured that it is an excellent read!
Feeling Hollow is an explatory branch of Bleach that forks away with the premise of What If Ichigo hadn't gone to the Vizards? What if instead he attempted to reason with and make a deal with his Hollow? Once again, Daricio whips up a fantastic way of telling it. There's a lot of sensibility in this story. Characterization is, again under the circumstances, absolutely-freaking-perfect. The way the author writes through and explains things is completley belieavable and hell I would even be so bold to say that this could very well be a legitimate branch off of the original storyline.
I was completely blown away by both of these stories. I highly suggest them as mandatory reading for anyone who loves Bleach fanfiction and enjoys a great adventure story.
That will conclude my update. Again, I am in need of some help with Legacy and this potential Bleach idea I have building! Let me know if anyone is interested!

Hmm. While working on Legacy today an evil little bunny hopped into my head. It said to me, "What if the cast of FF7 lived in the real world, current times? What if they were always mistaken and spoken to about how similar their names and appearances are to the characters in a popular fantasy RPG game?
...then what if it turns out in an alternate reality they -are- the characters in so-said game?"
I looked at the bunny and thought of how ridiculously cliche and horrible that sounded. It just looked at me knowingly and hopped away, although I still think I see it lurking in the shadows sometimes, because I can't seem to forget about what it said and just how much potential a well-laid out story with that premise could be... :3
